One of my favourite flowers at the beginning of the year its name comes from the Greek words “gala anthos” meaning “milk flower” which describes the flower so beautifully. For me when I painted these, the thing that fascinated me as much as the delicate white flowers was the whiteness of the bulbs that seemed to reflect the flowers above.
